jaquard

Material: viscose, rayon, nonwovenbacked

phoenix, rayure, bois as well as faux uni are woven in the traditional jacquard technique as a fabric and afterwards laminated on the nonwoven substrate.

Joseph-Marie Jacquard, born on 7th July 1752, revolutionized the control of the loom significantly. He made it possible to create large patterns with industrial weaving and above all endless. Monsieur Jacquard, despite Napoleon’s support, had to stem the resistance of the french textile industry.

Centuries later we take advantage of his concept. We enrich the well known yarns with high-tech yarns and are now able to offer traditional as well as contemporary wallcoverings in this collection.
